A hot, metallic, Earth-sized planet named K2-229b detected by astronomers

A hot, metallic, Earth-sized planet named K2-229b has been witnessed by an international team of astronomers outside the Solar System and its density is quite similar to that of Mercury. Through this, it can be proved that planets similar to Mercury are not that much rare than they were thought to be. On comparing, it is 20% larger than Earth and the mass is 2.6 times greater.
