A new species of grasshopper is named in honour of Dhaneesh Bhaskar, a researcher from Kerala, who is a specialist in pygmy grasshoppers of the Western Ghat. The discovery has been named 'Cladonotus bhaskari', the first new twighopper species found in 116 years. The newly discovered grasshopper was identified in the Sinharaja rainforest in Sri Lanka by the researchers from Germany and Croatia.
