Before a child born today turns 30, species extinction, widespread disease, unbearable heat, ecological collapse, cities threatened by rising seas, and other severe climate consequences will have occurred. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns in a report seen exclusively by AFP that the choices countries make now will determine whether our species thrives or survives as the 21st century unfolds.
