After West Bengal, Rajasthan, Punjab revokes its general consent to CBI

Joining the league of several non-BJP ruled states like Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh, Congress-ruled Punjab has now revoked its general consent to the CBI for probing cases in the state. The Punjab government declared this in a notification issued by the Additional Chief Secretary on November 8. CBI will now require the Punjab government's prior consent before any investigation in the state.
