Alaska's most active volcano Shishaldin volcano spews ash about 5 miles into the sky triggering a warning to aviators. The plume of ash stretched about 90 miles blowing mostly east and over the Gulf of Alaska. The satellite imagery detected it as high as 28,000 feet above sea level. A sprinkling of ash was reported by a tiny Aleutian village of False Pass. This is the most active region for volcanic activity.
