Amitabh Kant to be NITI Aayog CEO for 2 more years

The announcement has been made on Wednesday evening that Amitabh Kant is going to be the chief executive officer of the NITI Aayog for 2 more years, as the appointments committee of the cabinet has approved his request. After the extension, he will be the CEO until June 30, 2021. This has come after PM Modi approved the reconstitution of the Aayog. Kant was appointed to the top post in February 2016.
