An Uzbekistan doctor died after unsuccessfully trying to treat a coronavirus infection

A doctor aged 39 died after trying to treat a coronavirus infection himself in Uzbekistan. The doctor had been in contact with Uzbek 'patient zero' who seemed to have infected him. He was hospitalised in a critical condition on March 26. Two days later, he died, becoming the 2nd coronavirus patient to die in the former Soviet Republic. Uzbekistan has 104 confirmed Covid-19 cases and has locked down all its provinces.
