Authorities evacuate 1,000 residents after wildfire breaks out in and around western Canadian village

As hundreds of Canadians lost their lives amid a violent heatwave, the Western Canadian town of Lytton was engulfed by a wildfire, forcing the authorities to evacuate 1,000 residents in and around the town. As many as 62 new fires were recorded in the province of British Columbia in the past 24 hours. The wildfire has been raging continuously and has already burned nearly 90 percent of Lytton town.
