Bacterial disease led to the death of 17,000 migratory birds at Rajasthan's Sambhar Lake

The Rajasthan government has disclosed the reason that caused the death of more than 17,000 migratory birds at the famous Sambhar Lake in Jaipur. As per the reports, avian botulism, a bacterial disease was the reason behind the sad death of the birds. The deaths were reported in Jaipur, Nagaur and Ajmer districts of Rajasthan and the carcasses have now been disposed of. The Animal Husbandry Department has treated 735 ailing birds.
