A judge in Bihar acquitted a boy who was accused of stealing and eating sweets. The boy was acquitted by the Juvenile Justice Board judge Manvendra Mishra who quoted from the Sri Krishna 'butter theft' tale. The judge argued that if Lord Krishna's 'butter theft' could be a naughty act, why to consider the act by the boy as a criminal act. "The matter should have been resolved just by diary entry at the police station," he said.
