Calcutta High Court orders court-monitored CBI probe into rape, murder cases after polls

In a major development in the post-poll violence case in West Bengal, the Calcutta High Court has ordered a court-monitored CBI probe into the incidents of rape and murder. “All cases of murder and crimes of rape should be given to CBI for investigation,” the High Court said. The court also directed an SIT headed by Suman bora Sahu and two other police officers to investigate other cases related to the matter.
