California woman punches mountain lion to save her dog, fails to save the pet

A California-based woman punched a mountain lion and tried to pry its jaws open to save her dog from an attack in her backyard. Despite all her efforts and display of sheer bravery, she was unable to save the dog. The woman suffered a minor cut after the mountain lion attacked her miniature schnauzer on Thursday in the city of Simi Valley. The mountain lion reportedly injured another dog in the same area late on Wednesday.
