In a major achievement in understanding the structure of Coronavirus and the process of its replication, scientists have been able in identifying the cellular structure that plays a key role in the replication of the virus. The structure may act as a target for much-needed antiviral strategies against this family of viruses. The virus replicates its genomes in the host cell’s cytosol- a jelly-like material.
