China can play big role in “rebuilding, rehabilitation, reconstruction of Afghanistan”: Taliban

Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen said while speaking to Chinese national broadcaster CGTN that China can play a big role in the “rebuilding, rehabilitation, reconstruction of Afghanistan”. The statement came hours after the Chinese foreign ministry said the current Taliban appeared more “clear-headed and rational” in comparison to 1996. Beijing has been trying to establish good relations with the Taliban.
