A new bill proposing two days paid leave for employees to mourn the death of their pet has been proposed by a Colombian politician. The bill has been proposed by Alejandro Carlos Chacon, a leader from Columbia's Liberal Party. While speaking in support of the bill, Chacon said most families in the country have pets with strong "sentiment" towards them. The employees, however, will have to produce evidence to claim the leave.
