Coronavirus restrictions to be lifted in New Zealand on September 21

The countrywide restrictions imposed in New Zealand to curb the spread of the Covid19 pandemic are going to be lifted on most parts of the country on September 21. However, the lockdown restrictions will remain in Auckland which is the epicentre of the second wave of infections. PM Jacinda Ardern will review the Auckland restrictions next week. Physical distancing requirements on planes and other public transport will be eased.
