Covid19: Emirates may layoff 15% more employees increasing the layoff count to 9,000

With the Coronavirus crisis deepening with every passing day, Emirates has said that it may layoff 15% more employees, increasing the layoff count to 9,000. Emirates employed some 60,000 staff, including 4,300 pilots and nearly 22,000 cabin crew before the emergence of the novel coronavirus. The international air carrier has already laid off one-tenth of its employees citing the coronavirus crisis.
