Cyclone Nisarga makes landfall on Maharashtra coast

Tropical storm Nisarga, which intensified into a "severe cyclonic storm" this morning, has made landfall on Maharashtra coast This is the second cyclone to strike India in two weeks and the first such storm that will impact Mumbai. It is after 100 years that Mumbai will be hit by a storm. Earlier, cyclone Amphan hit the western parts of the country. Several states including Maharashtra and Gujarat are on high alert.
