There were 1,51,417 deaths due to road accidents in 2018. The data highlighted that how a small human error can cause a massive threat to human life's existence. This figure accounts for 64.4% of the total deaths in India, as per the road transport and highways ministry report on Road Accidents in India. Drinking under the influence of alcohol and drugs, jumping red lights, and the use of mobile phones together accounted for 6.5%.
