Death toll due to floods reaches 25 in China, military blasts dam to divert floodwaters

The situation in China has worsened due to torrential rains in the country. At least 25 people have lost their lives due to the floods in the Henan province. The military has blasted open a dam to release floodwaters. The military blasted the dam late Tuesday night in the city of Luoyang. Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan is among the worst affected regions. President Xi Jinping has said the situation is "extremely severe".
