United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres offered his condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the glacier burst incident in Uttarakhand's Chamoli. "The United Nations stands ready to contribute to ongoing rescue and assistance efforts if necessary," Guterres said. United States also expressed its grief over the incident. Security forces including NDRF and ITBP teams are leading the rescue operation.
