Delhi generates 10,500 metric tonnes of waste per day, of which only 5,775 metric tonnes is processed

The Lok Sabha was informed that Delhi, the national capital city produces 10,500 metric tonnes of waste per day, of which only 5,775 metric tonnes get processed. Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said the figures for waste generated and processed for the NCR are not available separately. Last year, the Supreme court had slammed Delhi lieutenant governor over the issue of garbage management in the city.
