Doctors on nationwide strike seeking safety; 40,000 doctors across Karnataka protests

Doctors across India are on a nationwide strike for a day today. Nearly 40,000 doctors, paramedics, and nurses across Karnataka have begun a day-long strike on 17th June, in state-run and private hospitals, seeking the safety of doctors. The protest is on since a junior doctor was beaten by a deceased patient's family in Kolkata. Meanwhile, CM Mamata Banerjee has agreed to meet the doctors on the issue.
