Edited images found to be less intimidating to a women's body image

A study published in Body Image journal suggests that woman, who view thin and sexualised images of women as edited are less prone to negative effect on their mental health. The research focused on a line of thinking called 'thin-ideal internalisation', which causes eating disorders and psychological issues due to their belief in an ideal body-type. 360 female subjects viewed 45 such selfies and evaluated them.
