Facebook fed readers towards COVID misinformation, finds report

A report has found that as COVID-19 pandemic increased globally, websites circulating misinformation about health drew nearly half a billion views on Facebook in April alone. FB had promised to crack down on false info & incorrect news but its algorithm seems to have fuelled traffic to a network of sites sharing false news. The report focuses on FB pages & websites that shared large no. of false claims about COVID-19.
