First case of SARS-like virus reported in US as 9 die in China, 400 affected

The United States today reported its first case of a new virus that has claimed nine lives in China and sickened hundreds. The victim of the virus is a US resident in his 30s who lives near Seattle and is in good condition. He is "currently hospitalized out of an abundance of precaution, and for short term monitoring. The man entered the country on January 15 after travelling to Wuhan. He is being supervised.
