First T-cell immunotherapy trial starts in UK

Scientists in UK have started the immunotherapy treatment trial that might boost the recovery of critical Covid-19 patients. An analysis of blood samples from some of the most critically ill patients has revealed low numbers of a specific virus-fighting immune cell, termed as T-cell. The trial will now focus on whether a drug called interleukin 7, which is known to boost number of T-cells, can help these patients.
