“Forgotten Behind Bars": Amnesty International says serious human rights violations in prisons across world amid Covid

Human rights group Amnesty International said prisoners across the world were forgotten amid the Covid pandemic. In its report dubbed “Forgotten Behind Bars: Covid-19”, Amnesty said more than 11 million people are behind the bars across the world. While citing a source in Jammu and Kashmir, the Human RIghts group said the detainees in prisons “were only allowed a phone call to their family once in 15 days.
