Former England captain Alastair Cook to retire after last test at Oval

Former England skipper, Alastair Cook, announced retirement from international cricket after the final Test against India at the Oval. The 6th highest run-scorer in Test with 12,254 runs, Cook, is also the highest Test run-scorer for England. The 33-year old, who failed to make any substantial contributions in last year, remains the youngest player to score 6,000, 7,000, 8,000, 9,000, 10,000, 11,000 and 12,000 Test runs.
