Former Kerala Police chief, former IB officer named in false espionage case against Nambi Narayanan

The Central Bureau of Investigation has booked former Kerala Police chief Sibi Mathew, former Intelligence Bureau Deputy Director RB Sreekumar and 16 other police personnel in connection with an alleged conspiracy to frame scientist Nambi Narayanan in the 1994 espionage case. CBI named the officials in an FIR after it was directed by the Supreme Court to investigate the ISRO espionage case in which Narayanan was wrongfully arrested.
