Global coronavirus tally nears 6.2 million, most number of cases in US: WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday said that as many as 6,194,533 people have been infected with the novel coronavirus globally. According to a report, as many as 113,198 fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours. 4,242 people died due to the pandemic in the past 24 hours. The United States has the most number of cases with 2.9 million people contracting the infection and more than 1,63,000 deaths.
