Globally 2,000 Tigers were poached in last 19 years, India tops the list

According to a report by TRAFFIC International in Cambridge, between 2000 and 2018, 1,977 Tigers were killed for their body parts across 32 countries and global territories. 382 Tigers were seized live. India tallies the highest in the list with 626 Tigers poached during this period, followed by Thailand with 369 poached Tigers and Indonesia with 119 cases. The highest number of Tigers were seized in the year 2016.
