Google sent out 1,755 warnings to users including India on govt-backed attackers in 2020

Google had issued 1,755 warnings to users globally including 100 in India in April whose accounts were the target of government-backed attackers. Its Threat Analysis group tracks more than 270 targeted or govt-backed groups from over 50 nations but it did not define which govt has targeted these users. It also stated govt-backed or state-sponsored groups have different goals in conducting out their attacks.
