Government releases advisory to tell who should not use hydrochloroquine for Covid-19

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Friday posted an advisory on Twitter released earlier by the health ministry on the use of hydroxychloroquine as treatment for patients suffering from coronavirus. As per the ICMR, the drug should not be consumed by children below the age of 15. People with known case of retinopathy and known hypersensitivity to hydroxychloroquine or 4-aminoquinoline compounds should also not take the medicine.
