8 feet wide, two feet tall: Guwahati light world's biggest diya this Diwali

Digholi Pukhuri in Guwahati witness the world's biggest diya to celebrate the auspicious Diwali. Almost 8 feet in diameter and 2 feet in height, the biggest earthen lamp can store up to 800-litre oil. Cement manufacturing company Max Cement installed the oil lamp in a bid to enter the Limka Book of Records. It aims to create awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic in the environment.
