HAL makes same fighter jets as Russia but costlier than it

As per an audit by defense ministry the fighter jets that are manufactured in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in India, are way more costly than the similar ones made in foreign countries. As per the reports by Hindustan Times, where the price tag of a Su-30MKI made in Russia will be Rs 269.77 crore and the one made in India will cost Rs 417.69 crore. The reason for this spike is less efficiency and too much man hour rates.
