An archaeology team from Pune's Deccan College has revealed that the 4,500-year-old skeleton from a Harappan/Indus Valley site in Rakhigarhi, Haryana, has more affinity with South Indian tribal population. The absence of 'R1a1' or 'Aryan' gene in the DNA samples from the skeleton has concluded that Harappan civilisation was different from and came before the 'Aryans', which topples the Hindutva beliefs.
