According to a report released by UNICEF on Wednesday, India witnessed the highest number of deaths of children aged below 5 years in the world in 2018. The report titled ‘The State of the World’s Children (SOWC)' states that India reported 8,82,000 child deaths, followed by Nigeria with 8,66,000 deaths and Pakistan with 4,09,000.
