An independent investigation has revealed that IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva altered the Doing Business report by the World Bank to avoid angering China. However, the findings have been disputed by Georgieva, who previously worked with the World Bank. The World Bank has announced that it is immediately discontinuing its Doing Business report. The US Treasury has referred to the report as "serious findings".
