Implement surprise 10-day mandatory leave plan for employees, RBI tells banks

The Reserve Bank of India has ordered banks to send employees deputed at ‘sensitive areas’ on a surprise mandatory leave of at least 10 days. The new mandatory leave plan is being implemented to ensure that employees posted in sensitive positions are not able to cover their tracks before taking leaves and an element of surprise is maintained in case of irregularities like the Nirav Modi fraud case.
