India maintains social distance from Chinese firms for 5G trials, Beijing criticizes move

In a decision that earned praise in the country as well as internationally, India barred Chinese companies such as Huawei and ZTE from participating in the country's 5G trials. The move obviously didn't go down well with Chinese officials. Wang Xiaojian, Spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in India expressed concern over the decision while adding that Chinese firms have been "providing mass job opportunities" in India.
