India to have its 1st plant to convert paddy straw into biogas near Delhi to solve the pollution menace

For the first time, India is converting paddy straw into biogas. The product obtained can be used as CNG in automobiles will come up at Karnal in Haryana. MD of Indraprastha Gas Ltd, E S Ranganathan led the groundbreaking ceremony of the plant. This will come up by 2022, has been set up by Ajay Bio-Energy Pvt Ltd, under 'SATAT' in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas. The plant will produce max 10k kg CBG every day.
