India witnessed 67,385 births on Jan 1 leaving behind China by huge margin: UNICEF

While the government is rooting for population control laws, India has left behind China in terms of number of babies born on New Year. According to a report by UNICEF, an estimated 67,385 babies were born in India on January 1 2020. China was on second number in the list with 46,299 births followed by Nigeria (26,039) and Pakistan (6,787). India is projected to overtake China as the world’s most populous country this decade.
