India witnesses highest single-day spike of 32,695 COVID-19 cases, recoveries cross 6 lakh mark

India saw its highest single-day spike in coronavirus cases with 32,695 new cases being reported. The number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in India has crossed 9.68 lakh. The death toll rose to 24,915 with 606 new fatalities on Wednesday, the number of active cases stands at 3,31,146 while 6,12,814 people have recovered, according to Union Health Ministry data. India recovery rate reaches 63.24%.
