India's fastest decline in Power demand in past 12 years: Report

According to government data, India's power demand fell 13.2% in October from a year ago, posting its steepest monthly decline in over 12 years. This reflects the grave concerns of the economic slowdown in recent years. The June quarter GDP grew at its weakest pace in six years as consumer demand and government spending slowed and the decline in the power demand might be an indication of a further slowdown.
