India's top digital firms spent nearly $1 billion to attract customers in FY 19

Digital payment firms have surely played a vital role in promoting digital payment in India but things have not come easy to these firms. In a never-ending race to build a customer base in the digital transaction market, the top four payment services and e-wallet providers — Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay and Amazon Pay spent around Rs 7,050 crore on advertising, marketing and promotional expenses in the last fiscal year.
