Internet services restored in Assam after 9 days of communication blackout

The Assam government on Friday lifted the ban on mobile internet services as the security forces were able to bring back the normalcy in the region with the help of the authorities. The internet services were restored after 9 days of suspension due to the huge protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Mobile internet services, however, continued to remain suspended in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka.
