Italy's traffic freezes due to violent hailstorms

After enormous hailstones burst through car windows and screens, a severe hailstorm brought traffic to a standstill. This heinous occurrence resulted in some rear-end crashes on one of the major roads, causing confusion and terror. The storm-hit section of the northern stretch of the route between Milan and Naples, which spans for over 500 miles, saw people hiding in their cars due to the severe hail, according to The Independent.
