'I've been an idiot': New Zealand Health Minister offers resignation after lockdown breach

New Zealand Health Minister David Clark drove almost 20 km, breaching the lockdown imposed in the wake of the coronavirus. Clark admitted that it was a clear breach and offered his resignation saying, I've been an idiot, and I understand why people will be angry with me." However, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern decline his resignation owing to the ongoing crisis. Ardern added that 'under normal conditions Clark would be sacked'.
