Jacinda Ardern to declare climate emergency in New Zealand

"We’ve always considered climate change to be a huge threat to our region, and it is something we must take immediate action on," Ardern said. New Zealand aims to become a carbon-neutral country by 2050. Ardern government will make the official declaration of the climate emergency next Wednesday.
